School teachers could be one of the major information sources to reach students, their parents, and wider communities to inform them of the adverse effects of pesticides and their safe handling. Therefore, the training was provided to motivate the school teachers to practise pesticide-free farming and convey the message to students and parents.
Two-day training to school teachers from 7 municipalities of Chitwan district was organised. The training was quite successful as analysis of pre- and post-training marks showed significant improvement. The pre-test mean score was 13.5 whereas the post-test mean score was 16.33 which shows there was an increment of 20.98%.
